Have these words ever been spoken before

Given everything, I think overall, you'll save money by deciding to move to CT.

That is funny to think about. I lived in Orange County for a few months. Everything seems cheap compared to that area.

I wonder why some of the motor vehicle fees are so high in CT?

For example: It's $24.00 for a 4 year digital license in NJ verses $66.00 to $77.00 in CT with a 4 -5 year expiration plus an additional one time $40.00 transfer fee for new residents.

It is just another form of taxation really. They raise fees to raise more money. That simple. Jay

I hope that form of taxation returns some form of representation

I'm sure in NJ that these fees will eventually escalate too being the money hungry politicians and "brokeness" the NJ government is currently faced with. They have been talking about raising the gas tax too however far that gets.

In FL, a license is 20 bucks for 5 years and of course no state income tax.

Here's another one to talk about - How about Utilities? I wish I had numbers from NJ but wondering if anyone would know the differences.

I'm actually getting an education from this thread and thankful that question was asked by the OP.

Do a quick search. There are tons of threads on utilities. They are astronomical to me. I have spoken with all the people that work with me, and all my neighbors and they are atleast double what I am used to in FL if not triple.
