Now that Marcus Dairy is gone, I'm looking to satisfy my fix for an easily accessible car show. Preferably one you can just show up in your own car and park it in the show without paying. Like Marcus.

Read: easily accessible. I'm looking for something in Fairfield or New Haven counties. Is there anything?

I know there are some in the Hartford area, but I'm not looking to drive far.

There's one on the Derby/Orange line at the McDonald's parking lot every Sunday evening (weather permitting). I go sometimes, grab a frosty from Wendy's next door, and walk around checking out the cars.

Now I'm REALLY curious as to what kind of sports car you have...

I don't think he has it anymore but his username says it all.

I'm guessing something German now.

Can't help you in FF and NH county, sorry.

Are you talking about a weekly car meet? We used to have one every tuesday night at the Mcdonalds across the from the Milford mall until there was a fight and it got shut down.

Now there is a weekly car meet every tuesday night from 8pm to whenever in Norwalk @ town fair tire. 500 Connecticut Ave to be specific.

Last night even with rain there was 110+ cars there. Next week will be around 220+ if weather is nice.

I'm going to try the Norwalk one next Tues. But I'm honestly more interested in more serious car shows like Marcus or some of the Concours shows.

The one at McDonald's looked too juvenile to me. Bunch of high school kids with slammed Civics is not my idea of a good time. Never went, but from the looks of it, it reminded me of the McDonald's and Starbucks meets that happened in Danbury when I lived there. Ugh.

The one in Derby has some serious antiques there. Some nice slices of Americana. Check it out.

All are weather permitting"
Fri evening: MONROE in the parking lot of Dairy Queen on Rt 111 decent show, cars older than 1972 (I think) and many options for food, both sit down and grab n go.
Sat evening: MONROE right up from the aforementioned @ Bill's Drive-In on 111, smaller, but a nice turnout. Good food, too.
Sun evening: Like previous poster stated, DERBY @ Heavanly Donuts on RT34. Good mix of vehicles, the ricers are pretty much relegated to a corner of the show, so it isn't bad, really.
Mon evening ???
Tues. evening SEYMOUR: at the site of the former Actor's Colony Inn an rt 34. I have not attended yet, but it looks pretty good. It is on my list.
Weds. evening: ???
Thurs. evening: Zoar Drive-in Rt 34 in Stevenson has a very different truck meet. Everything from big rigs to modified (tastefully done) pickups. Worth a visit.
That's all I have !
Marc
