Can anyone give me any info about this area? As far as the shops, is it fun? Is it safe? Are there a bunch of antique stores to wander around in? Is it a waste of time?
I like to ask on here before I venture out and its a dissapointment for me and the wife....

Also if you don't mind a half hour or so trip, Woodbury is great too.

IIRC, there are also a few shops in Southbury as you're heading toward RT.6 in Woodbury where the bulk of them are located.
