Many of the super high wage earners have gotten very rich thru this "recession" (not for them!) and this is basically an all or nothing, sink or swim mentality for the rest of us. But, in the long run, this is what's happening.

"Creative destruction" some call it.
The New York city area has always been expensive and the Fairfield county suburbs have been exclusive since before World War 2. May be it is worse now, but may be it isn't. I don't think it is any grand plan just a matter of the free market conditions. Too many people chasing the same item. Jay
