Hi, I'm looking for a place to stay for 2 months this summer. Since it's only 2 months, I don't think I can lease an apartment or anything, and it's too long to stay in a hotel/inn.

But what are some cheap options? I'm actually a student and would love to have some dining option too because I don't really know how to cook.

Is this for work or school? You might consider renting a room. Check craigslist or contact one of the local college's housing office to see if they have housing options. Sometimes they have lists of off-campus options as well. Jay

3 years ago I was up there for 2 1/2 months. Renting a room is the best option, though I ended up actually going the motel route. The reason was that I wanted to come "home" on the weekends and I was able to negotiate "5 day/week" rates that made it competitive with renting a room. Good luck!

Define cheap? Furnished units are available for term lease at river's bend apartments in Windsor. I second the Craigslist option. If you don't need to be right in Hartford look near CCSU in new Britain.

There are hotels that will give you a cheap option on a weekly rate, bargain with them, you should be able to come down in price. i honestly don't know where these places are, but I know some do and with the economy as it is I would bet some of the smaller motels would love a constant income stream from 1 room for 2 months. There is 1 I know of on the Berlin Turnpike, forget the name, its near the DOT building.....lol that place is a zoo from what I knew years ago, I would stay away.
