hello!

my wife and i are moving to new london temporarily (work-related), and we are very excited
BUT
our company is putting the two of us and our pups up in a place called "sea breeze villas" and we can find absolutely nothing online regarding the area or what the building(s) we would be staying in even look like.
advice or help from anyone local to the area would be great-we are looking forward to our stay in CT, and we are hoping to one day make it our home.

thanks folks!

Sea Breeze is 1110 Ocean Ave. in New London. It's way down near the bottom of Ocean Ave. near where Long Island Sound meets the Thames River. Sea Breeze is a great, big, former mansion type house, converted long time ago into small apartments.

It's a nice neighborhood and Sea Breeze is about the only multi family in the immediate area. Mostly it's older type colonial type homes.

1110 Ocean is within a couple of blocks to Ocean Beach Park, which is a public, seasonal park, with beach, pool, mini-golf, boardwalk, amusement park, restaurant. It's also just a couple of blocks to the water , either the ocean or the river. Great area for dog walking, wide sidewalks on leafy streets.

I will tell you though that there was a shooting at the building a year ago. A mentally depressed tenant attempted suicide by cop. Deliberately provoked a confrontation and wanted the police to kill him. The police shot but did not kill him. I can't tell you what type of tenants are there as I don't know. I do know I have heard of it used as corporate short term housing and as rentals for single men.

Thank you so much, your response is tremendously appreciated and very helpful.
all things considered, we have probably seen worse in our travels !
the neighborhood sounds exactly like what we were hoping for, hopefully the current tenants are in a "good place."

thanks again!

Yes I agree ocean ave is a quiet street at least we're you guys are moving to. Keep in mind though stay away from downtown area or bank street there well known for trouble especially in east new London.
