It is very bad in NYC. Only one way to get and out of Manhattan is via the Lincoln Tunnel. Lower Manhattan is flooded as is a part of Harlem. The East River subway tunnels are also flooded.

Where are you? 40% of CT has no power. The shoreline is destroyed, and there are trees down throughout the state. I'm not sure about your definition of a dud, but I consider this to have been a major weather event in this state.

The travel ban on CT.'s highways has been lifted. But CT. schools are still closed and many people in CT. have no power this morning.

I'm in East Windsor/Broad Brook and I consider it a "dud" for our area (i.e. Hartford county), compared with having lost power last Oct 31st for 8 frigging days because of the snowstorm.

28% of your town has now power. This is nowhere near as bad as the snowstorm, but far from a dud. On a scale of 1-10, the snowstorm was a 10 and this was an 8.

Power will be up far more quickly than it was from the snowstorm. I'd rate this hurricane a 6 if you're rating the snowstorm a 10.

This is worse than Irene.

We will probably never see anything like that snowstorm again. We can't just dismiss this as a dud because it isn't as bad as a once in a lifetime disaster. This storm was exactly as advertised.
