I'll be coming to Connecticut for 3 days in March to visit some relatives in New Milford, as well as some old friends who live in Meriden, Naugatuck, and Stamford, afterwards I'll be taking the Metro North into NYC to spend sometime with my girlfriend who will be on spring break

I'm planning to visit a few places my dad took me to growing up

-Les' Ice Cream in Meriden (if they've reopened by then)
-The Sycamore in Bethel
-The Cookhouse in New Milford
-Ted's World Famous Steamed Cheeseburgers in Meriden
-The Danbury Fair Mall

Seems like all I did when I lived in CT was eat....

Any other fun or interesting places in Connecticut I might like?

Well, if you like food - you should definitely check out New Haven. Stamford area has a ton of good food too.

What else do you like? There's a surprising amount of things to do in CT, so just need to know your preferences to narrow down.

I'm up for pretty much anything if it will get me out of my brother's house while I am there. I haven't lived in Connecticut since my sophomore year in high school (2005) so I really don't know of anything to do except maybe check out some cool night spots now that I am of legal drinking age

The last place in CT I lived was Naugatuck, and my parents would have to drive my friends and I to Waterbury, if we really wanted to go anything else besides play video games all day

It was the same way when I lived in Meriden. Anytime we wanted to do something, we found ourselves either going to Wallingford or Berlin.

I'm pretty open minded as to finding some fun stuff to do.

Any bars around that serve some good craft beers? I'm into that sort of thing and would love to try some local brews if there are any

Cask Republic in New Haven or Stamford.

Or Ginger Man in Norwalk.

Visit Two Roads in Stratford too. Huge brewery with a bar for tastings and a pretty good product. They do tours. Also, New England Brewing Company in Woodbridge is worth a visit, they're probably the best beer in the state. Half Full Brewery in Stamford is good too. Not a fan of their beer, but it's a great space.

BAR in New Haven makes their own craft beer and also some of the best pizza there is. It's a great stop and also has a great dance club on weekends. Probably the best club in the state if you're into that sort of thing. If you're already in New Haven, Rudy's, Prime 16, Avro, Delaney's, Cask Republic, Ordinary all have great craft beer.

It's a bit of a drive for you but the Hooker Brewery in Bloomfield does an open house every Saturday at noon. $5 (or $10 can't remember) gets you 10 - 8 oz samples and a tour of the brewery. Either way, its a good time at a small brewery with good beer.

Also, go to Pepe's and get a pizza. Any of their locations will do but new haven is still the best.

Both Maury and Jerry Springer are filmed in Stamford (if they are both still on the air.. dont really watch them). You could try to get tickets for a good laugh.

If you are going to be in New Milford, check out the White Horse in New Preston. Good food, decent beer (definitely UK slanted- bass, old speckled hen, etc), great prices and ambience.

GW Tavern in Washington has a decent beer list too - they usually have multiple new england selections on tap.

Yeah, and Community Table in New Preston is one of the best restaurants in the state. Spendy, though.

I'll second Prime 16 in New Haven. Great beer selection and one of the best burgers I've had.

Try Romanacci in Norwalk at 250 Westport Ave. It's a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, service, and pizza.
