So i have a huge driveway (surface area is roughly 10-12 cars) and I shoveled a path for mine and my wife's car. Well, About 20 minutes ago I hear what sounds like a generator in my front lawn and turns out my neighbor is clearing the rest of my driveway with his blower.

My wife and I want to get his family a gift certificate to a nearby restaurant for his kind deed. He has a wife and 2 kids and I was wondering if anyone knows a restaurant that would be appropriate.

We live in Southington and were maybe thinking J Timothy's, but aren't exactly sure whats "family" appropriate since we don't have kids.

Thanks

I think he lives in Southington, in which case, I really don't know any restaurants up that way.

I think even a $25 gas card would be nice. It's also nice of you to want to express your thanks.

Yes, southington. A gas card is a good idea. Appropriate since the snow blower is gas operated.

J Timothy's is in Plainville, if I recall. Nearby are Applebee's and Friendly's if you really want a family place.

There are plenty of places in West Hartford, which is an easy ride: Cheesecake Factory in Blue Back, Brio Tuscan Grille at West Farms, Bricco, etc

Naples Pizza in Farmington, Joey Garlic's in Newington & Farmington. Yume in Unionville if you think they'd like Hibachi

J Timothy's is a GREAT choice! Totally family friendly, despite having a bar. (The bar is attached; it's not part of the restaurant.)

Friendly's is a good idea...I think. Kids love it, but not sure if adults do lol. I happen to love frozen microwavable garbage food, but that's just me If I knew more about them this would be easier.

It's one of our favorite places. I agree that I would have no problem bringing my hypothetical kids there, i just don't see it being fun for kids. I really don't know if they're the type of parents who make their kids go where they eat or the type who base most of their activities around their kids and go to places like friendly's.

I'm probably going to go with one of the two.
