Kidding?

That stretch is in very good shape.

IMO, nearly all of CT's highways are in great shape. The roads that really need to be repaved are local roads such as U.S. 1 in Norwalk, which is horrible.

Reinforcing the waste of money it was. It was literally perfect. I drove it every day.

You must remember that pavement can deteriorate very quickly once it begins to fail. Would you rather the state wait until it was really bad before anything was done? Putting together a roadway pavement project takes time. The plans have to be developed and approved and then there is a bidding process so if they waited for the road to fail it would be at least a year before they could get a contractor out there to fix it. On top of that it is hard to program it into your budget. By paving roadways on a cycle, you are making sure it is repaved before the road gets really bad. Jay

Why did you take the picture there? You missed all the craters that are just past that area, between Sequoia and Frenchtown.

I have no idea it pretty funny the potholes and paved of the road defined the border line.

Again, it wasn't even showing cracks or forming potholes in the winter. I'd say it could've easily gone another 5 years in this cycle. When I look at another part of my commute - 95 from Moses Wheeler to Bridgeport, that needs way more love.

I just drove it a few weeks ago. Right after crossing the border from Mass. into CT it was ridiculous. Certainly not "in very good shape".

No, it doesn't define the borderline. That portion of Old Town that you took a picture of is entirely Bridgeport, both sides of the street. Old Town, north of the intersection of Frenchtown, is entirely Bridgeport.
