UPDATE!

The recruiter said that she will take me out to lunch and buy me a Christmas present if I accept the offer!

If I accept the offer, she will make about $20,000 for placing me.

This is also further evidence that networking isn't necessary to land a good opportunity in my field. I've always gone through a recruiter.

Or...

Perhaps if you networked a bit you'd find a job that paid more and had an in-house cafeteria.

Congratulations regardless. Hope this is a good move for you.

this isn't an update, you already said she would buy you lunch if you take it.

I think really at this point, you just like attention. Hence the pointless bumping of this thread.

Why do I get the feeling Nep is about to ruin his recruiter's Christmas...?

Weren't you complaining that you could not find a job in the Hartford area. Maybe if you networked more you would have found that job. Networking is very important to find a job. Jay

OP, Using a recruiter is a form of networking. Corps use specific ones they are comfortable with; should you get one recruiter to push you as a good fit, your job of landing the job is largely done.via recruiter networking.

Nep, what happened to the 5000 other jobs in Florida, New York, Ohio, Wisconsin, and wherever else you applied for?
