I am planning to rent an apartment in nearby cities, which is safe and easier to commute from Bridgeport,CT.

Here are some of the apartments we looked at:

Spinnaker Apartments near the train station in Milford, CT. (Couple of the complexes are walking distance from the train station and downtown, but not sure about the safety at night, is it a safe place to live? )

Eaves Trumbull ( It is a gated community and looks really nice, but the surrounding seems sketchy)

Shelton Avalon (It is in shelton, but it is near the train station and the surroundings are sketchy as well, not sure about the safety if walking along at night)

I guess the main concern is the safety, does anyone have any comments on the above apartments? Or if there is any other apartments I have not looked at? Thank you for any feedback!

Milford is very safe. Shelton is also safe though a little run down since it was a former mill town. That does not mean it is unsafe. I believe the Eaves is off Reservoir avenue. It is not generally unsafe but it is located not too far from a problem public housing project in Bridgeport. I hope this helps. Jay
