Looking for a reliable, honest, good contractor in the Orange-Shelton-Milford -Derby area. My brother in law is a licensed contractor but retired from the actual work part of it. He and I usually did the work together with his guidance.....and of course his tools and equipment.

I'm hoping maybe someone here might know someone decent. Looking to replace front entry main door, screen door and 3 inside bedroom doors( Doors I can hang inside of course, routing for hinges.....nope....), and laying down hardwood floors in 2 bedrooms.

I did ask at Home Depot when I was picking out a front door and they give you estimates but their estimates are absolutely insane. Usually a lot higher then it should be.

Anyway, if anyone knows anyone, let me know.

Instead of going to Home Depot, have you considered a local business like West Haven Lumber or Milford Lumber. They might be able to help. Also maybe contact your local hardware store for possible recommendations. Jay

I hate that. That has happened to me hundreds of times. It is amazing how many contractors don't return calls. Are they really that busy and not interested in getting more work? Good luck. Jay
