Lemme ask. Is the following fact or "eating from some spoon"?: CT is at or near the bottom on various business environment factors. And if the answer is yes, then what is the natural result of that?
I don't have to be convinced that CT is an expensive and business-unfriendly state. If you look at my posting history, you'll see I've made mention of it in the past. What I don't believe is our tax hike, as described by Immelt, was the sole reason for GE's relocation (for the third time).

I don't believe it was the SOLE reason either as posted MULTIPLE times. Clearly Immelt in his own words didnt claim it as the SOLE reason either.

Here are his words: "Boston was selected after a careful evaluation of the business ecosystem, talent, long-term costs, quality of life for employees, connections with the world and proximity to other important company assets," Immelt said. "We want to be at the center of an ecosystem that shares our aspirations."

"long term costs" ergo: tax costs.

I just find it curious when a CEO cites tax policy among reasons for the move, that some people refuse to believe the words coming out of his mouth, as clearly there was negotiating going on with both CT and MA on taxes.

Is Greenwich Beverley Hills of CT.

Most people in town know it as The Avenue. Some call it Rodeo Drive East, a nod to its emergence as a luxe retail strip whose store roster rivals that of its Beverly Hills namesake. But to a relative handful of people, the tony stores and fancy restaurants are just the background scenery of their everyday lives. Greenwich Avenue is their home.
