Kent vs Farmington. How did Kent make it this far??

Stonington vs Greenwich

East Lyme vs Guilford. Seems like the toughest pick of this round, hard to go against Guilford.

Fairfield vs Litchfield. Same with Kent, surprised Litchfield is still around.

Madison vs Ridgefield. I'll pretty much always go with Fairfield County unless it's Greenwich, Darien OR it's a total mismatch (i.e Danbury going up against Guilford).

I know right. Kent is not even a great town my my opinion, its just average. Litchfield is a great town though so I sort of understand, but still this far is a little further than I predicted.

Imagine, not everyone likes the same thing! Truly shocking!

I take Kent over Farmington any day, and I did. Few towns top it for scenery.. you do need to explore more about it than a tiny commercial strip of rt 7 though. It's great for scenery and peace all in a reasonable distance for people that occasionally need to go to NYC. So it's no surprise you can find so many heavy hitters of fashion, etc hiding out there. A few of the best parks in the state there as well. And some of the most beautiful inland waterfront properties. Fantastic (private) schools. Gorgeous in all seasons - Yankee magazine had it as best foliage in New England too I believe. All without omnipresent soccer moms and nonstop honking and yelling and entitlement. Sounds good to me.

I'm not surprised Kent made it this far. I am surprised Farmington seems to be beating it at this point, though. To each his own. I'd take Kent any day over Farmington.

Kent has great hiking, gorgeous hills and farmland, Lake Waramaug, Housatonic River, Kent Falls, a brewery, and a decent town center. Not surprising.
