Hi - was wondering if anyone could provide some real-world info on the approximate rush hour commute time from Ridgefield to Greenwich (near the train station)? Google maps says to take 35 to 95, but I have no idea what traffic is like.

Also, a separate but related question -- it is true that traffic is starting to become an issue in Ridgefield? I've heard that from several people so far. Is it more of an issue on weekends, or is it all the time? We visited some friends there on a Saturday a few months ago, and while traffic wasn't really a problem, I was surprised by the number of cars on the road.

Thanks!

It takes about 45-55 min on a weekend going backroads only, which is what I would suggest. 95 can be a nightmare during rush hour and the ride on the backroads are just so much more pleasant so why subject yourself to it if you don't need to? Rt 123 would bring you thru NY down New Canaan toward the Merrit or to avoid the Merritt as well you can go Rt 124 thru NY to Rt 137 and then there are a few different options thru back-country Stamford and Greenwich. Ridgefield center itself gets a bit backed up on weekends but not familiar with it on weekdays.
