Interesting combo--looks like cold + moisture could be getting together more often in the coming weeks?

Not a big one but just keeps adding up..

Here are the snow totals reported through NWS..

Don't see any from NWS Albany for Litchfield. I don't think anything accumulated there.

Thursday Dec 14, 2017: 1.2"
Friday Dec 15, 2017: 1.3"

Yup... watching closely..

Here's the pattern next week..

Similar setup to this from December 6-9..

Only difference is that Atlantic Ridge is west and south more. We'll see how far north the SouthEast ridge gets. If we're on the cold side we could be getting a lot of snow. Or could be just rain to snow. Too many details to know right now

Spoiler

Last time I was above freezing was 9pm Dec 12th. 83 hours ago. Normal max is low 40s.

Look at Danbury's temps this month so far. Low of 7° this morning!?

Snow 3 times already and it's not officially astronomical winter yet?

December Solstice in Hartford, Connecticut, USA is on
Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:28 am EST.

(Ducks a punch from Cambium...)

Thanks to our elliptical orbit, we've actually gained two minutes of light in the evening (4:22 PM!). Still losing a few more minutes overall for the morning, however.
