Not sure I remember an April Mesoscale discussion for heavy snow for NYC metro area.
1-2"per hr rates next couple hours.

Currently snowing heavy in NYC with visibility 1/4 mile and temp of 33°. Storm Prediction Center - Current Mesoscale Discussions

I got 2" here that melted to 0.19" liquid. 10:1 ratios. Everything is white out there. Some sticking to roads. Temps are low 30s.

And the schools in Western FFLD county blow it again. No delay, no closings lol. What a bunch of morons. They are going to put people out on the roads pretty much now until 9am.

How is that even possible? Do the people who make the the difference not watch the weather? How did all of these schools get it right and Norwalk to Greenwich can't seem to ever make the right call? http://www.ctweather.com/ian-school-cancellations

No impact to train commuters. Standing room only on the 6:38 express to GCT. Roads were so so, added about 5 minutes to the driving leg of my commute.
