Before you get to the beach at Cummings Park there are some.

I would call Parks and Recreation to find others.

There is a little pocket park at the end of Southfield Ave. near the border of Old Greenwich. I see a basketball court in there.

Also some at Cove Island Park--across the parking lot from the main entrance.

Try the schools - I see them there in Hartford county, along with tennis courts

Good advice. Many schools have basketball courts in their schoolyards but you can't use them during school hours. I see one at Hindley School in Darien. Jay

I grew up in Stamford but haven't lived there in over 20 years so I need to have my memory jogged. The reason Scalzi Park is so busy is that Wright Tech HS and Cloonan Jr. HS use it. I went to Cloonan.

My husband went to Burdick Jr HS. Burdick is closed but they made a park out of the sports fields. There is a basketball court there. This is probably a good one to use as the school is now closed. The park is off Newfield Ave.

Scalzi Park, Cummings Park, Cove Park, Southfield Park (Bocuzzi Park for some) for the beaches

Dorothy Heroy Park (Beach Season is over), Lathon Wider Community Center (South End), Rogers School (rims are 9-9.5 ft though), Belltown (off Newfield Avenue). Outside of those, you have Chelsea Piers ($15 for 2 hours, and that's IF they have not scheduled others to be there), LA Fitness (Must be a member though)

Boys & Girls Club next to Lione Park.

Only Boys & Girls Club & Scalzi have lights. Everywhere else outside have no lights, except the indoor gyms.
