Want to stay at Holiday Inn on Main St in Bridgeport and walk to / from there to old Blue Fish stadium (Harbor Yard amphitheater) for a concert in summer. Map says 0.6 miles. Not sure if walkable and if so safe in dark at night.

Yes it is walkable. It's downtown Bridgeport so there are stores, restaurants, offices along the way. If there are shows at either the amphitheater or arena, there should be lots of people around. Like any urban area, you need to be careful but generally you should be fine. Jay

Agree with Jay. I wouldn’t hesitate making that walk and after the concert tons of people will be out walking.

Its a cheap cab ride, so I would use a cab after dark.

I doubt many will be walking the full path to the hotel.

And nowadays there's Uber or Lyft too....

On this page it says the Holiday Inn has a shuttle bus service. I bet it goes to the arena.

I'd stay at a nice hotel in Fairfield, then take the train to BPT. You can get off the train and walk on a skyway right to the arena.

You'll be fine. Walking is great exercise. They'll be other concert goers doing the same.

Who's playing?

I've walked that area numerous times, though only during the day. I tend to agree with those who say it would be OK.
