We will be looking for houses to rent in July 07 In preparation for my husbands transfer to the Sub-base.What towns are the best ? We want to find historic areas,And property too if possible.We are hoping that we will also find good school systems there too.Any suggestions as to where to look for homes and how to locate them?We would like to stay within a 15-25 minute drive from the sub-base.Need a 4 bedroom 2 bath house.Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.

Look into Groton which includes Mystic, also Ledyard, Waterford, Montville, E. Lyme, and Stonington would be good choices.

Change of plans.we are now trying to lease to own/buy outright or find a for sale by owner,,,225k is top we can spend if anyone has suggestions let me know.Thanks

At 225K

in southeastern CT you will be able to buy a Cape Cod started home or small ranch..... It might be cheaper away from the shore. In Norwich-

Nice Townhouses will be around 200K
