I was wanting to take my grandson. What is their rule concerning minors in such an establishment.

No one under 21 at 19th Hole or Wolly Bully's. However the same wings are available at Char.

What is the difference in an establishment like 19th hole and Chars where they both serve alcohol?
Back in the day when I worked in a lounge we could allow minors accompanied by parents as long as they were eating and we left the plates. Is it a state law or just the preference of the establishment. Perhaps tables separate from the bar area? You seem to be in the know.

So I found out it is because they allow smoking in the establishment. Apparently its smoking that prevents minors from eating where alcohol is served. Go figure.
I think we will try out Yard Birds food truck instead. I hear they have good food and now have wings. Its suppose to be 78 degrees tomorrow so maybe we can eat outside.

You could go to Moogies. I liked their wings as much as anywhere in Cookeville.

I thought about that and I like them too but they're just not the same as 19th hole.

I was told the guy who cooks at Yard Birds use to cook at 19th hole so hopefully the wings will be the same or at least very close.

I've eaten at Yard Birds twice and I was very happy with it both times.

Kent Birdwell, who owned the highly acclaimed Bight of the Bend barbecue restaurant in Gainesboro, is opening The Blue Pig in Cookeville. Located downtown in the historic West Side across the street from 7 Senses and a few doors down from Crawdaddy's, here's how the restaurant is described on its web page:

The flavors experienced at The Blue Pig will take you on an adventure to a unique, storied reflection of Kent’s life and those who influenced his repertoire of spice around the world from learning culinary skills from Turkey’s Top Chef, learning and sharing recipes in rural African/Asian villages, sometimes avoiding gunfights, or just enjoying wine, it’s cheer, & great dinners with culinary fanatics around the world. The spices experienced are a direct result of personal life experiences by Kent & his friends around the world.

Among the smoked meats, it has Memphis-style ribs, Texas-style brisket, and smoked venison sausage. Among its Southern fare are shrimp and grits, salmon seasoned with bourbon and molasses, sweet potato crab cakes, and smoked ribeye. The oyster bar has three varieties of oysters: Chesapeake Bay, Alligator Cove, and Beausoleil.

The Blue Pig also has a Facebook page.
