I guess they listen to police scanners and go to the scene at the same time as the cops? An audio technician on the show was accidentally shot and killed by police while filming a robbery in progress for the show. Very, very sad, but to be honest I'm surprised it's taken so long, that's a dangerous job.

The perp only had an aerosoft (toy) gun. This is a damned shame.

The title should be more clear - he was killed by police who were trying to kill a perpetrator with a BB gun. Given the number of times I watch cops and see police improper firearms tactics (namely, sweeping each other) - I am not really surprised.
I don't think I said they shouldn't have. But someone posted "how so" in what looked like a response to a poster who said it was a shame that the guy was killed, and my post was in response to him...it's a shame because the guy was innocent.
