Selfish woman. That will needs to be overruled. Where's ASPCA here? Sheesh!

Provisions such as this are usually found to be void as being against public policy. One may put anything they want into a Will, but that does not mean that such provisions will be followed.

Anyway: 'selfish'. It probably gives an insight into the woman's character.

So, there's a little more to the story than that.

She either wants the dog to go to a certain animal shelter, which may be too expensive, or to have the dog euthanized, cremated, and buried with her.

Keep in mind that this is an older dog and apparently can be violent around other people. So if the dog went to a shelter after she dies, it would likely be euthanized anyway.

I think she would rather just have the dog euthanized and buried with her rather than have his last memories be of that with strangers in some shelter before it's euthanized.

INB4 Animal Rights activists break into PAWS and rescue the dog. Or at least a huge Animal Rights protest. I can't wait to see how this all plays out. As for me, I say killing anything is way out of bounds for anyones Will. Randomly killing pets is illegal.

Simple solution:
Bury her, wait for the dog to die or be killed in the natural course of events, dig her up, open the coffin, insert dead dog, close it up, re-bury her.
Done.

Absolutely
Sick human... its her job in love and protection of the creature she chose to do service for her own benefit to find appropriate care for it

Not what her ego wants

All innocent life is preciousness... she isn't the executioner...
And... if it was so important we would never hear about her sick idea... it would have occurred and no one would have known .. opps.. those pesky laws

I think she should find a caring family to adopt her dog.
