Two shooting locations? The father's latest (3rd?) version to CNN:
The son, who was armed, got into the car with his mother and they left the house. Robert Meyers said his son and wife were trying to move the car away from the family home. They didn't want the car to be recognized in front of their home.
But the other car, described as a grey or silver sedan, saw them, according to Robert Meyers.
Robert Meyers texted: "My wife and son drove away from home, bad guys following. She lost them and upon coming home turned on street, bad guys are right in front.
"After that, bad guys open fire different location. My wife got home, told her son to take cover and after he saw his mom shot he opened fire three times maybe four.

My understanding was that the family told police that she and her daughter were out practicing driving and this man cut them off, the daughter honked at driver B, which pissed off the man, the mom drove home and got her son and a loaded gun, going BACK out to attempt to find the driver (stupidity)

The discrepancy was that the family did not initially tell the police that their mom was angry, grabbed a gun and her son and went out to FIND the driver. At this point, second altercation, the mom was shot dead by the driver of the other car

The story: The woman killed in an apparent road rage incident last week returned home to pick up her son and then went back out to find the man now suspected of shooting her, a Las Vegas homicide detective said Tuesday.
Tammy Meyers, a 44-year-old mother of four, had been giving her 15-year-old daughter a driving lesson Thursday when she had an encounter with another driver that left her scared and upset, Lt. Ray Steiber told reporters.
When she got home, Meyers told her daughter to go into the house, wake up the girl's brother and have him get in the car. Meyers' son Brandon, 22, brought a registered firearm with him.
Meyers drove back out of the neighborhood to see if she could find the man, Steiber said.
"The vehicles and persons found each other," he said. "Through the course of them finding each other, at one point Mrs. Meyers was following what we consider a suspect vehicle and then at another point they broke apart and Mrs. Meyers went home."
Shortly after Meyers arrived at her house a second time and got out of her car, a gray or silver sedan pulled into the cul-de-sac and a volley of shots was fired.

The son returned fire, Steiber said.
Meyers was struck in the head by one bullet and was rushed to the hospital, where she died on Valentine's Day after being taken off life support.
