Prank or crime?

I voted crime.

72,000 insects = huge, huge pest control bills. Doesn't matter what kind of insect it is.

There are far less douchey ways to do a school "prank"

Prank.

Make the kids clean it up.

Send any further pest control bills to the parents.

If the taxpayers have to clean it up, then crime. If the kids and/or kids' parents have to clean it up, then prank.

The article says the school district had to pay to clean it up, plus they damaged the school when breaking in. So crime it is.

Let the bugs die off from starvation so the regular janitors can vacuum them up like any other litter. I'd say it was a minor prank.

No permanent damage. I say prank.

The kids should do cleanup.

Thank them, ladybugs are the best non toxic pest control available. We buy them and put them in our yard, no need to spray to kill aphids, the ladybugs thrive on them.

So other bugs dont eat ladybugs?

If you are a large roach... Or even a rat... And you see 72,000 new snacks, whatcha think is gonna happen?

As the popular meme would show...

"ONE DOESN'T SIMPLY VACUUM UP 72,000 LADY BUGS"

prank, but the costs should be on them and not the taxpayers.

I can't support anything bug-related. I unofficially vote prank, but some pranks are costly. This one will cost the kids and I guess it'll be a tough lesson.
