yanno, after seeing some of the outrageous sympathy for the criminals in this thread, and others, I think its high time for hollywood to depict victims....bring light to what they go thru, and the life changing events that haunts them and their families....maybe this insanity would stop.
I just cannot believe what TV has done for criminals...meaning, no one thinks about the victims....those who have been mangled, beat up...raped....murdered, babies killed....children abused....for Gods Sake people wake up.
These are not normal human beings, they are animals and a menace to society.
yanno, I wish you could point out an actual example of some of this 'outrageous sympathy' you keep crying about instead of making crap up that you can pretend to hyperventilate over
It's pretty obvious that the felon was shot in the back. He was running away from the officer.
Maybe with all the recent dubious police shootings, law enforcement may have been reluctant to say 'shot in the back', although in this particular case it was well justified.
Actually, I don't really know if law enforcement used the word 'torso' or not. It could be a media construct.
[quote=shotcall;40210578]So an actual cop feels they have the right to be judge, jury and executioner....[/QUOTE
Hell yes... this person murdered another policeman.. he did so with complete depravity for human life
He broke out of prison ... committed burglaries... failed to stop when requested and was a continuing and immediate threat to anyone who encountered him...
Do you believe he was a fleeing felon of the dangerous kind? If you do then you have solved most of the use of force matrix
If you don't then what would you have done to capture him... by yourself .. with backup thirty or more minutes away... with him nearing the border.. with him fleeing into heavy brush where he would have been lost again.. with the knowledge as a part of their burglaries weapons were taken ... how far would you go...
The locals celebrated by cheering all the troopers.. border patrol.. local police who had literally taken over their small town rural areas
I wish he was killed... he will receive five to seven years on his sentence and if he remains alive will see freedom one day... maybe you can have him as your neighbor
What's his life worth... by the time he's done about 25 million... seems to me a 2.00 solution is what he deserved

Police are allowed to shoot a fleeing felon in the back if he is deemed a danger to the community if he gets loose. This qualifies. I'm surprised he and his scumbag friend hadn't taken some family hostage already.
I'm not a law enforcement apologist, but seriously, I don't care if they threw napalm at this guy while he was in cuffs. He turned over his human being card a long time ago.

ah, finally a sensible post to respond to, with no demented wails that I am sympathetic to criminals merely because I found the use of the phrase 'torso' to be odd
yes, I don't see much other possibility other than him being shot in the back. and I agree both with the possibility that they were reluctant to state that due to other recent shootings or that this was something the media came up with.
Wasn't Sweat (the cop killer who was caught yesterday) the one serving life without parole?
I'm glad they were both found. Also glad no one was killed or injured while they were on the run. Hope this changes things inside the prison they were at.
I don't know, I wasn't there....how can you make a judgement like this, when all you have to go on is what the news reports?
so, now your defending criminals? Just like all the other crazy threads about criminals being shot....
I'm not defending criminals or anyone else. I'm saying I've seen plenty of evidence, contrary to main media and popular opinion, that under similar circumstances people of white identity are killed by law enforcement and in interracial crime more often and no one cares. Further, for a group that is labeled "privileged" I'm seeing a lot of underprivilege imposed by society when you start controlling for factors.
I think the fact that so many dismiss the claim demonstrates the veracity of the claim.
In the end they did not venture far did they? Seems they got desperate and were about to hurt people.
Glad this has been brought to an end, for their victims' families and the community and for all of us for we no longer have to hear about it. Well the media will talk about any new developments.
because I asked that if he was shot in the back, I therefore have a 'huge problem with police officers'?
what in the world are you smoking? please explain your reasoning here.
oh.. my... god
where on earth did I express even the tiniest speck of sympathy for the criminals?
I didn't read this whole thread, and stand corrected then, and apologize, as I read your post to be sympathetic towards the criminal....sorry....
