do you believe she was born in a teepee and beaten with a baboon whip?
Why would I waste any time trying to figure that out?
I've already stated what I believe about this but I will say it again. The woman worked hard for the NAACP in leadership position but was found unacceptable for this position and kicked out, i.e. resigned, once it was discovered she had White parents.
Everything else not directly related to that is nothing more than accusation & rumor from national witch hunt engineered to distract from what I just said. None of it mattered when everyone thought she was Black.
Because the poster is being passive aggressive and deliberately obtuse in order to criticize the NAACP. Interesting game but pretty transparent.
Obtuse? Nope. This is the first thing in this topic that I said. It's quite clear nor passive aggressive.

Apparently they don't care much for the advancement of people "colored" like this woman.

You are not obtuse, that's clear. Deliberately obtuse is the phrase I used...on purpose. If you want to criticize the NAACP that's fine! But to pretend that there is something wrong with them for not embracing someone who lied to them (and everyone else), embarrassed them, and obviously has issues is silly and transparent.

Your opinion and assumptions of me are irrelevant. Your opinion of me is not the topic of discussion. I'll be happy to discuss anything I've posted, but I take note you are careful not to actually raise issue with any of that.

Okay. Peace. Yes, it's gone off topic and I apologize. What I see from your posts is a disagreement with the NAACP for not supporting and/or embracing Rachel as a leader in their organization. Is that correct? Asking this specifically because sometimes subtle nuance escapes me. If that is the case (criticism of their reluctance to keeping her on), my question is, why should they?
Paula Abdul never claimed to be black. Thurgood Marshall had more color than that picture showed, and neither he nor Dorothy Dandridge were actually biracial--both had "black" ancestry dating to before the turn of the 20th century.
People today tend to think all light-skinned blacks prior to 1970 must have been biracial, but they almost never were.
So many people today have mixed ancestry and I don't know why it matters. Have you ever seen "Finding Your Roots" on PBS? It is an interesting program. I was just thinking of one episode I watched. Gloria Reuben's ancestors are direct descendants of African slaves and, on her father's side, Jews who were persecuted in Spain. Her parents met in Jamaica and created this beautiful woman. I never knew her father was White, but so what? When you look back at history, so many different groups of people descended from slavery and persecution. So why do we let race separate us when we should be celebrating our differences?
Anyway, it's a shame that Dolezal lied because, from what I've read, she has fought for human rights for many years and has been an effective leader.
