Maybe you should move there if you think it is such a great policy. We have a heroin epidemic in this country of epic proportions. Hundreds of addicts are overdosing each week. Get a clue.

Yet heroin is illegal; how is that working out? Not very good if there is an "epidemic of epic proportions". Billions and billions of dollars spent on the war on drugs, yet we still have a heroin problem of "epic proportions". Perhaps the government should try something else? Enforcement sure as hell is not working.

Really... You are such a perfect example of someone who's brain isn't plugged in when it comes to this issue that I have to ask:

If we have this epidemic of epic proportions, as you call it, then how can you say that the current policies are working?

If you can't answer that, then how can you say trying something different, something that is working in other places, is such a bad idea?

I don't get your logic.

Graphs and everything. So how many people live in Portugal anyway, 12? I bet you can get a good deal on a condo there. Good luck in your move.

Their crime rates are extremely low. Their population is about 10.7 million I believe.

I've seen this link before and I believe that is one thing they are doing right I totally like the approach.

In the meantime all the naysayers will say won't work for the USA, what do they know look at their economy look they're a small country. Well they have turned it around and look at what direction it's moving for the US.
Sometimes the arrogance is unbelievable.

May be, but it is plentiful for whoever wants it. This is classic. Ban something but let it be easily available then claim the “ban" didn’t work so we have to legalize it.
