Just when you thought you've heard them all...

A man in Ohio recorded video of passengers injured in a car crash but didn't help them and one child later died | Business Insider

Quote:
An Ohio man was charged on Wednesday for entering a vehicle after an accident where he filmed two injured teenagers, one of whom later died, while calling them “idiots” and making no effort to help them, police said.

Paul Pelton, 41, was charged with vehicular trespass after he opened a back door and leaned into the vehicle to capture video on his mobile phone just after the Monday accident in Lorain, 30 miles west of Cleveland, the Lorain Police Department said.
Police: Man charged with recording aftermath of car crash that killed teen; called victims 'idiots' - newsnet5.com Cleveland

Quote:
“Had he videotaped it across the street, we wouldn't have an issue with it," added Sivert. "The issue started when he entered the vehicle to take the video and the fact that he's videotaping two young men who were, one critically injured, one seriously injured.”
In the video, he reportedly calls the boys "idiots" and continued to record the inside of the car while neighbors attempted to help. Police added that he never offered aid to the victims.

The man offered the video to news organizations, including to newsnet5.com. In a Facebook message, he asked for a donation to a charity with which he's involved in exchange for the video.

People that stop and film everything with their cellphone are getting really annoying, I was at an event last week and 1000+ idiots were holding cellphones in the air trying to film it. This idiot is so detached he mocks dying people, its a shame what we've become.

What a horrible excuse for a human being! This reminds me of the movie NightCrawler from last year with Jake Gyllenhaal. He plays a freelancer who trolls the streets listening to police scanners at night trying to get good video to sell to the news. There were a couple of scenes though where he arrived before the cops, and in one he even moved a dead body to get a better pic of his face!

I have a feeling this guy will more than get his comeuppance, he's going to be a pariah.

So how old were those "teenagers"?

18? 19?

If they were drunk/drugged driving, then they got what they deserved.

If the driver was texting while driving, they got what they deserved.

One is only obligated to help righteous people, not every POS walking the face of the Earth.

Darwin works....
