i dont beleive it is the responsibility of law abiding citizens to be responsible for or even discuss the reasons why somebody commits a crime....what i find is a disturbing trend is why 13% of the population is committing over 50% of the murders....do we want to discuss that?

Why? Is it not a true statement to make? Who cares who sees it? This is a message board. People can share whatever opinion or facts they like.
If people aren't criminals, they shouldn't be offended by it, because clearly the posters are discussing criminals or people who make excuses for the criminals and are somehow sympathetic to them. I see it all the time on CD - blatant ignoring of facts and crying racism for everything. That's what's asinine.

Clearly the problem is you don't understand the statistic. People who make up only 13% of the population are responsible for over 50% of murders. This is no way insinuates that all 13% are committing crimes. If you think it does, you have a problem reading and understanding statistics. It's simply stating that a small portion of the population, way less than half, not even a quarter, is responsible for more than half the violent crimes.
I think that someone who would call another person a bigot for stating a statistic/fact is offended by that fact, yeah. Why else would you call someone names for simply reporting an indisputable statistic? I don't need the definition of context to see exactly how you're reacting.
