Well, at least no one can cry racism since the cop who pulled him out of the car was black.
"Get off of him! He can't breathe!" Ugh. Is this going to be a new thing now? Claiming every guy being restrained by cops can't breathe? I hate this new anti-cop movement we have in this country.
What anti-cop movement are you talking about??????????????? Are people going around harming/killing cops???? Don't think so. The most people are doing is speaking out against police brutality.
Just because some people here seem to be obsessed with "bad cops" doesn't mean the general public is out to get your precious cops.
Maybe the officer asked for license and regis and the driver said F**k off?
Maybe the officer instructed the driver to get out of the car and he said no?
And that is the problem with today's police officers. They are so sensitive and get butthurt so easily that they routinely escalate something like a parking ticket into a beatdown.

No, that is the problem with certain members of today's public. They are so worked up about being "dissed" that they refuse to submit to proper authority and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner.

Yes, more police are being killed in the line of duty. Though, to be fair, the number is still below the historical high. (The report doesn't say it, but that huge spike in 2001 is due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.)
You do realize that the term "uppity" has, for generations, been a highly charged racial term.
I am not the poster that used that term, but I would be willing to bet that he is indeed aware of its connotation -- and chose it precisely for that reason.

No matter how the other person is acting, it should be expected of the police to maintain composure and do whatever they can to deescalate situations. Some of them argue back and flaunt their badge/power, and that's clearly problematic. Being stopped by cops is annoying; people are going to have attitudes, but cops should have better sense to not argue back.
