These are the requirements of the job to be a 'police officer' for the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District:
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2. High school diploma or certified GED required.
3. Must hold a valid Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission On Law Enforcement.
4. Consideration will not be given to a TCOLE license or license from another state with a General Discharge, Dishonorable Discharge or the equivalent notation from previous law enforcement jobs.
5. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
6. Must meet requirements specified in TAC, Title 37, Part 7, Chapter 217, Rule 217.1 regarding criminal history.
7. Two years of successful law enforcement experience as a commissioned peace officer preferred.
8. Two or more years of college or advanced training preferred.
9. Must be able to work day, evening and night shifts with varied days off.
Not really what I would consider to be high standards. Also, the 'police department' seem to have been newly formed this year, and certainly shouldn't be stopping ANYONE for traffic violations on public streets.
I am glad victims of police abuse are coming forward. Dude could have paid strippers/hookers for his fetish, but instead he used his position as a police officer to violate people.
This right here.
