Disgusting. I hate when people kill their kids then take themselves, too. It shows they know how wrong killing their own kid was. Bunch of cowards. I don't feel sad for her. I feel sad for her child, but not for her.

It just shows that CPS had every right to be concerned for the child. And, no, her child is not better off dead than in her physical custody with CPS having legal custody so they can maintain oversight, which is what she had been told the plan was. I realize her father is distressed but he's putting the blame in the wrong place.

He was diagnosed with dystonic cerebral palsy, so he had a disease that could be verified by medical testing. It sounds like the opposite, plain old neglect - she had been reported by health care professionals for not adequately taking care of the kid's medical needs, including reports of malnutrition.

I had an acquaintance whose mother, when she was five, brought her into the living room sat her down and then committed suicide in front of her.

How is it possible to fathom why people do these grotesque things. I couldn't begin to imagine a scenario to explain the actions of either mother.

Yeah, pretty gross. If you need to take yourself out, do it far away from family members.
That's some nasty aggressive stuff you just described. I'm sorry that happened.

So her final act on the Earth was to make sure her child was emotionally scarred for life? Great. Honestly, the child was probably better off without her, but what a truly evil thing to do.
