Softcard, Verizon's version of Google Wallet, was originally called Isis mobile wallet. They changed the name last year to avoid any confusion. Yes, Isis is an Egyptian goddess, but now that it is also the acronym for a terrorist group, its probably best for the bookstore to do some re branding with a new name.
They shouldn't change their name. People should stop being idiots. The sign has a picture of a pharaoh on it. You have to have rocks for brains to not realize it isn't associated with the terror group.

Isis Books and Gifts should consult the 7 days a week Psychics that also seem to be on this property for what to do about their future.

I remember when I first heard the terrorist group ISIS mentioned, I thought of the Egyptian Goddess and wondered about it. Its sad and stupid that people are vandalizing this place and it has nothing to do with terrorists. I noticed the President often calls them ISIL.

I remember after 9/11, the news ran a story about a nice old couple named Ira and Ann. Their vanity plate read "IRAN" and their car got completely destroyed by vandals.

ISIS should have never been called that. There are many acronyms, business names and other trademarks with that title. Oh and not to mention, the Egyptian queen Isis.

ISIL would've been a much more appropriate title.

I doubt they are customers as I don't reckon people as dumb as the vandals buy many books to begin with.

I also equate Isis with the egyptian goddess, it is unfortunate that it also means terrorism.

The article does not specify what the vandalism is, but it was probably graffiti. West Denver has had a big graffiti aka tagging problem for a long time. The store is in southwest Denver along a major street, so within the scope of the taggers. (not the center of Denver as stated in the article) It is generally understood that the tagging is done by 15-22 year old males. Not the smartest or most politically motivated demo to begin with.

I would expect that his building got tagged before "ISIS" started. And I would not be surprised if the taggers continue to tag it now as kind of a joke/status, even though they probably know the business has no association with the terrorist group. The owner is probably just looking for some free advertising from the story.

Suggest you re-read the article. 3rd paragraph.

Thank you for pointing that out. Yes, a clear connection time wise between the 130 people killed in France and a rock being thrown through their $30 small sign (but not their larger more expensive sign). No discussion as to what the other 4 incidents of vandalism were. I reiterate my broader thesis that the vandalism is mostly tagging and being done by 15-22 males, including the rock throwing.
