Greece is not muslim country so obviously they have better sense of why they are there compared to muslim country that is just waiting for an opportunity.

Are not US jets violating Syrian airspace all the time? Just because the USA or any number of countries decide that Assad needs to go does not make those claims legitimate.

In the near future, we'll see a US jet shot down over Syria. It is just a matter of time.

Not only that Russia is claiming the Turkish jet that shot down the Russian jet launched the missile while in Syria. Not much for the moral high ground I guess.

If Syria asks the Russians to protect its airspace, that would sure change things.

So you have reached a conclusion on the moral high ground based on what Russia is claiming?

Russia attacks mostly the non-ISIS anti Assad forces knowing that the US and allies will have to attack ISIS. Russia's goal is to keep Assad in power.

Russia has been probing NATO countries by sending submarines, ships, airplanes into their water and airspace. It is only a matter of time something happens. You can't back down to a bully like Russia. Without nuclear weapons, Russia is just another European power. I don't expect Putin to start a war against NATO. He is not going to fare well.

Russia is mostly an Asian country. 77 percent of its territory is located in Asia.

Take a look at the map and flight path. The intercept course almost certainly results in Turkish planes operating in Syria. Turkey already openly flies planes in Syria so its not exactly a big leap. Am I positive that the plane entered Syrian airspace? No. It does seem highly likely tho.
