Who buys anything without looking inside first? And according to the article, they told the buyer the freezer contained a Sunday school project that would be picked up? It sounds like they either put out the wrong freezer, or someone took theirs and substituted the freezer tomb.

I suspect this happens more often than we know. Here's another story from a few years back. Frogtown: The Frozen Man of Carlsbad The man died of natural causes and so his wife put him in the freezer to collect the social security checks. He was discovered in the freezer.

I've already informed my husband if he goes first, he's going in the freezer.

Cripes, I volunteered to help out with a charity yard sale tomorrow. If there's a freezer in it, I am NOT opening it up!

Um, sure, I'd never look inside a freezer before I bought it.

A woman went out for a ride
then stopped at a sale that she spied
She purchased a freezer
and that seemed to please her
until she saw the inside.

She didn't open the doors to look inside first? Makes no sense. I think she stuffed the freezer herself and is now blaming the people who sold it to her. What a racket!

If this is true, how sad.

I'm thinking of the poor elderly woman who, in her younger years, never imagined how she'd end up one day.

Here in NC where this happened, it was reported that the corpse in the freezer was the original owner's MOTHER.

The freezer was sealed with tape.

You know, I get not wanting to report your mother dead or not dealing with it responsibly because you want the SS money or are too freaked out to deal.

But I don't get the whole "I'm just gonna sell this freezer with the body in it in a YARD SALE" part. What kind of plan was that?

Now no one knows where she is.
