Unfortunate. Though these people do put themselves at extreme risk, I do admit I get a rush watching their wingsuit jumps.

Wingsuit jumper Armin Schmieder shows death on Facebook Live

Quote:
An Italian wingsuit jumper has live-streamed his own death on to Facebook after an adrenaline fuelled jump he had hoped to share with his fans took a deadly turn.

Armin Schmieder, 28, an experienced sky diver who had been doing wingsuit jumps for more than a year, told his followers on social media before his last, fateful jump "today you fly with me".

He can be seen preparing himself for the jump at the summit of Kandersteg in the Swiss alps. Wearing a GoPro camera on his head as he unfurled the large wings of his suit, he can be seen putting his phone in his pocket just before he jumps.

Soon after, the video, which was shown live on Facebook, went dark. But a loud shout was heard.

It was at this point fans watching online realised something had gone wrong, the Daily Mirror reported.

Wow, that's really sad. Unfortunately, it isn't too surprising given what he was doing. I imagine his death was at least mercifully quick.

It doesn't appear that way. There's movement in the camera after the crash, followed by several seconds of deep moaning. Maybe it was from the cows nudging him? Distinct cowbells can be heard.

I'm sorry this man is dead, but I suppose he died doing what he loved so he went out happy. But trading your life for another adrenalin rush/entertainment doesn't seem like much of a bargain to me.

To each his own, I guess.

RIP Sir.

Yikes!

I don't really get why people do this stuff. I understand the push for an adrenaline rush, but the amount of people that die from BASE jumping is pretty high.

Not sure if that was real. Why would he put the Go-Pro in his backpack?
