Yeah it is. A vendor in CA sold fried butter on a stick paired with chocolate covered bacon. I like bacon, and chocolate, and to a much less degree butter and fried foods, but it is too much together.

And certainly not every day of the year. But what better place could there be, to make money off this kind of food.

Now they can be eaten indoors in air conditioned comfort, while wandering the Walmart amid the sounds of the faire - and the strollers and the screamers and the livestock and the people of Walmart and everything else.
Abel Gonzalez invented a deep fried butter served at the State Fair of Texas in 2009. I know it sounds crazy, especially the sweet versions (never appealed), but it's not what people expect. The savory version is like very buttery garlic bread. Iowa just took the idea and put it on a stick. Please.
I'm not sure how to feel about this. These kinds of food are something that we look forward to every year at the fair, but at the same time part of what makes them special is that we can ONLY get them at the fair. God knows I wouldn't want to scarf down deep fried Oreos every day.
