I'm not. Some fates are worse than death. If she had "survived," it would have been as a turnip. Based on the stories of how long she underwent CPR on the plane, her brain was simply without oxygen for too long for any meaningful recovery to have happened.

I hate heart disease! *shakes fist at 2016*

I was a bit more surprised about George Michael dying at 53.

I know! The word "stable" is usually positive. But I was thinking that if the reports were true that she wasn't breathing for 10 minutes... well, you know... "I have a bad feeling about this".

I wonder if she was pronounced brain dead, and the family waited a few days before letting her go.

Ug! 2016 really sucks for beloved icons!

It's that little souvenir, of a terrible year
Which makes my eyes feel sore
Oh I never should have said, the books that you read
Were all I loved you for
It's that little souvenir, of a terrible year
Which makes me wonder why

...the Sundays

But George Michael has been addicted to crack and heroin for at least 30 years and by all accounts was having all night parties at his house up until the day he died. So most likely his death was an OD

I know what you mean and I agree, in my post I meant I hoped she would have recovered...not merely
existed.

There has been a deadening in the force. Have you felt it?

Celebrities always die in threes. Within 3 days of each other. Who will be the third? On the average, 151,600 people die every day. Celebrities count in that figure, exactly the same as anyone else.

"Carrie Fisher didn't make it."

This is very sad, I feel so sorry for her mom.
