Wow only 57% of possible combinations were purchased for last night's drawing. So the next drawing probably won't sell 100% of combos either. It could roll again!

People are always like.... "Well you're more likely to be hit by lightning while bitten by a shark while hiking a mountain while getting a call from your left-handed 3rd cousin asking about the weather on Mars....than you're likely to win the lottery!"
When its this high, there are going to be WAY MORE tickets sold than available combinations. Basically more than 300 million tickets likely will be sold which means at least 1 ticket (even multiple tickets) will win.
Hey my random opinion didn't turn out correct. Oh well. THought way more tickets would be sold, guess not. It was reasonable to assume this record breaking jackpot at 970M would've caused a big fervor in ticket buying and hence higher likelihood that someone will win as many combos will have been bought. But interestingly it did not.
So what you wanna bet? Gonna roll over again, no winner tuesday?

I always wondered if there was some simple programming script that tells them how many of all the possible combinations had been played/purchased for each drawing, I guess they do!
Lottery now close to a billion!! What i would like to know is why media and States do not publish the books. The normal person should know what each State gets in revenue, how many tickets are sold in each State, and what percentage of that is given back in winnings, plus the winners taxes. It may be public knowledge but I'm not smart enough to find it. And if a State can have lotteries, what laws prevent private companies from doing the same? I can remember when States didn't have lotteries or even income tax, it was all supposed to help the school system. I always say " you can't lose if you don't play".
You can find this if you look for your state's public disclosures.

Yeah with how large an operation they are, they probably have all the data/stats that they could ever use/need. And divulge as needed to the public.
I bought 10 $3 tickets and won $400 in last night's drawing. I was so tempted to spend it all on more tickets for the next drawing but I stopped myself and only bought another 10 tickets. I only play when it reaches these big jackpots (yea, like $10M isn't enough for me?? ) and I'm probably even over the years now with wins and losses.

There are two certainties when it comes to lotteries:
1. Eventually, someone will win.
2. It won't be me.
(OK, so there's a 0.00000000000000000000000001 percent chance that it WILL be me. But that's still pretty close to a certainty.)
