Dumb people...

Two months ago, 24-year-old Catt Gallinger of Ottawa, Canada, decided to have a purple scleral tattoo, which is when the sclera, or white part of the eyeball, is injected with dye.

But just hours after allowing her then boyfriend to inject the purple ink into her left eye, it was clear something had gone wrong when her eye started leaking and became swollen, causing her sight to blur. Now she’s facing the prospect of losing the vision in her eye completely.

She's definitely in contention for a Darwin award. You can't help stupid. You just have to hope her lack of common sense isn't passed on to her children if she has any.

Sadly, not the only case of senseless self-mutilation in the name of fashion and the Cult of Celebrity:

http://www.city-data.com/forum/curre...tedly-had.html

Sympathetic or not, what kind of society has evolved in which young people, the majority of them either female or raised in single-parent, presumably-female-headed households, can muster so little self-esteem, and/or skepticism toward the cultures of narcissism and mindless conformity peddled by Hollywood and Madison Avenue? They deserve better!

Even when I was young and totally brainless, not on my worst day would I even consider getting my EYEBALL tattooed.

Ditto. I wouldn't even let a doctor do it, much less an inept boyfriend. Good God!
