Two adults and two kids were found murdered with their throats slit in upstate NY.
Quadruple homicide in New York similar to 2014 murders | Daily Mail Online

The same thing happened to another family a few years ago and they never caught the killers. Police think the murders were targeted.

They're going to release the name of the victims today. They say everyone knows them anyway because they interviewed one of the kid's Boys' and Girls' Club coaches.

The earlier multiple murder was of Chinese people, immigrants as I remember. They never got any of the perps and think the had flown back to China on a pre-planned flight. It's suspected that gambling was involved.

The current victims are supposedly African Americans. The cops are also not getting much help from the neighborhood. But you never know what is really going on because the cops play it pretty close to the vest on these things.

The news media seems to be trying to connect the two murders. The killing method isn't even close.

In the case of the lesbians and the two kids, I suspect a jilted, jealous lover in one of their pasts. I'd rather it be that than a random murder by psychos simply looking for kicks.

I read in an article posted I think by NBC NY that police think these poor people were killed by someone they know, and were targeted. Apparently there is some fear in the community (understandably) but according to the cops, at this time there's no reason to believe there's some random serial killer or something lurking, waiting to kill more in the area.

Could be! Cops never tell the newspapers everything. It's very possible that the cops have some clues as to the Who, What, Wheres and Whys of this slaughter. The more I think about it, it's doubtful that only one person did this.

The world has become so evil and deadly. I agree with the poster who wished Jesus would come back.

They have two suspects that are going to be arraigned at 8:30 this morning. I just heard this on the local news (I live on the opposite side of the river from Troy and actually lived in Troy from 2001 to 2015).

Tragic story. Let the justice system deal with the 2 "suspects".
