It seems there is a huge chance this was a planned meet up that was arranged before she even left China. The whole thing seems weird. That she would have by sheer chance have run into a woman at the airport who gave her food earlier in New York City, and left to go to the restroom at the last possible minute before entering a secured area of the airport seems far fetched.
Also, what in the world does it mean that police are attempting to contact her guardians in China? I would think the chaperones would have called them within 5 minutes of reporting her missing. Why are police having trouble with this?

I agree Clara, something is very fishy here.
I'm really shocked that whoever took her didn't even try to conceal anything about themselves or the car. Possible they split up after taking her, switched cars too.
I expect the "tour group" was a pretext to get her into the U.S. and the woman she was seen with is a relative.
The Chinese routinely siphon members of their extended family still in China over here, one by one. I worked with a Chinese man who told me how his family had done it.
Update: she was found safe with family in New York!
