I don't know how surprising this is.

St. Cloud Hospital is a large regional facility with over 9000 employees, which obviously includes thousands of nurses. That 30 should give birth in a 12-month span seems rather ordinary to me.

They all work in the "birthing center" (other articles I've seen said the OB/GYN department) and apparently the previous record was 15 or 16, so this is about double.

Oh, don't be a buzzkill. Did you miss the part where he said it was record breaking?
Also, they were all born to nurses from the birthing center. I think that's pretty cool.
