It's a no brainer, but due to Covid-19, there will be no CP Rail Holiday Train touring the northern USA or Canada this season. However, you can enjoy it virtually here from this video shot back in 2014:

Thanks for sharing it. I'm in the US, didn't know about the CP holiday train. Pretty cool. My 35 year old son has always been into trains, I'm sure he would have loved to see this when he was younger.

I found one from 2019 shot in NY, it goes over water, puts on a nice light show in the water

The Holiday Train only visited the Northern Tier USA, so a lot of people haven't heard of it. Just another reason I wanted to share.

I have seen the Holiday train. It’s pretty amazing. I think back to last year and how packed we were all when the train came by.

Sad to hear, but not a surprise.

I stumbled upon the Holiday Train a few years back and I followed it on Facebook. Since then I get feeds when the trains are in season and they are doing performances.

It's on my bucket list to go see it in person sometime.

We put the burn barrels out in Canoe, BC and had a great distanced get together in 2015. It's actually a great social distance event anyway, for us at least. Sad to see it gone this year.

I remember seeing the CP Holiday Train pass by in a previous year, but hadn't gone to one of the performance stops (i.e. Gurnee, Milwaukee, etc) before. I'd like to do that someday, myself.

Hopefully this CP train comes back for November and December 2021, though part of me worries it won't come back till 2022. I desperately hope I'm proven wrong and it comes back next year, though.

Is there also not going to be a CP Holiday Train in Canada for 2020, besides the US? Since typically they run 2 holiday trains, one for CP lines in the US, and another for their Canadian lines.
