6-Year-Old Killed by Mother That Tried to Abandon Him

This is truly sad. A woman in Ohio killed her 6-year-old son (one of four children) after he clung to her car as she tried to abandon him in a park.

I know not everyone has the same intellect and there are dumb people, but this is beyond dumb. This is evilness. I hope she never gets out of jail.

That was the kid. Little did he know that his mother was his worst enemy.

An Ohio mother who police say tried to abandon her 6-year-old son at a local park, dragged him along the pavement when he tried to get back into the car, then dumped the boy’s lifeless body in a river the following day, confessed to killing the child but has shown little remorse, the Middletown police chief revealed Monday.

After forcing him out of the car, Gosney told Detective John Hoover that the boy “attempted to get back in the vehicle and she drove off at a high rate of speed, dragging the child for a distance. The defendant then left the park and returned approximately 30 to 40 minutes later finding the child in the middle of the parking lot with a head injury.”

If she didn't want her kid she could have put him up for adoption.

So horrifying. That poor little boy. I have a six year old son as well and this breaks my heart.

I think situations like this are beyond giving someone counseling. Her 6 year old is dead because of her and she deserves counseling? she is a danger to her other kids...she should be in jail.

Awful, but I would not be surprised if all sorts of excuses for Mommy's actions will garner her a light sentence.

I didn't see anything about counseling? She's in jail on a million dollars bail.

I do wonder why CPS removed ONE of her children, and not all of them. Under what circumstances would a mother be such a bad mother that CPS removed the child from her care, but decided the others were not in danger?

Mothers who harm their children, even just by standing by while their boyfriend harms them, are typically treated very harshly by the courts.

Expect the boyfriend in this case to not see prison time, though.

Poor little boy, in these cases, there is always a boyfriend in the picture. He undoubtedly wanted rid of the boy, and likely steered her towards killing him, although it’s hard to understand how a mom would choose her boyfriend over her kid. I hope these fine examples of humanity spend life in prison.

I'm guessing the mother was in some way being abused by the boyfriend. She's 29, he's 42 and well, look at them. It's no excuse even if she was being abused (and maybe she wasn't).
