A great big "Thank-You" to the by-standers that intervened.

It is the result of actions done over the years.

It's become "Do the crime and you get no time"

Understand now ? Since people think they can get away with stuff they have become more brazen.
Brazen like what happened in that article you posted.

We closed up the institutions and the crazies are roaming the streets.
We practically closed up the jails and the criminals are roaming the streets.

We voted people into government that did this. And the people wanted this.
They didn't want stiff sentences. Do away with the death penalty. And on and on.

On probation, why am I not surprised.

He didn't even care doing it in a very public store during the day. Yikes.

Kudos to the bystanders, at least they acted unlike that poor woman on the subway.

Beyond all of that, I have a hard time understanding that anyone would do that to begin with.
In all of my 60 years I have never lived in fear of others, never afraid to go out and about in public alone. I'm starting to question that now.

As the Menace spreads and grows more depraved, our government increasingly fails to protect us. The laws they pass favor the criminals, not us.

As for me, I will carry a boxcutter from now on when I have to go into the city. It opens easily with one hand, but not by mistake. It's extremely sharp. Some models clip securely to the waistband, pocket, purse or belt.

It's a disgusting thought, really. Who would even imagine we'd get to a point in time where it isn't safe to go to a department or grocery store anymore? This time, other shoppers jumped in to save the woman. Great, but what if nobody is around to hear your screams? Or, someone may hear, but not care to intervene.

He's a good boy, an aspiring rapper, who is turning his life around, and this is all just a big misunderstanding. I'm sure the woman was provocatively dressed and was "asking for it".

That Walmart appears to be in a pretty bad area. I probably wouldn't shop there in any event.

Probably not a bad idea. Or at least one of those stun gun/pepper spray devices.
