A seasoned criminal may skip bail rather than face trial for a charge that may lead to him spending the rest of his life in jail..you don't say.

I was actually rather surprised this happened in Florida. Which.. Is probably very stupid.. Why should I be surprised at ANYTHING when it involves "Florida Man..."
But.. I didn't think Florida would release someone facing life in prison on bail.
The right to a speedy trial......... Pfft.
Someone needs to grab our legal system by the tail and shake it really, really, good.
