This guy really wanted to make his point. He deliberately risked serious injury but he certainly got the message across.

That video is a real joke, first thing is the bike rider pointing out other violators of traffic laws. Then the running into the obstacles...get real, that is a fact of life, it's called traffic so ride safely around instead of acting the fool and running into them.

The cop car isn't breaking any law. Better read up on traffic laws.

Pedestrians are bike riders and vice versa. Bike riders are bike riders. They should obey the same laws everyone else should.

If there is a bike lane, ride in the bike lane or get off the bike and walk. A lot of money gets spent on those bike lanes. Do some car drivers use those lanes illegally?

Sure. Do more bike riders use sidewalks ? You betcha. I say get over it. Ride a bike responsibly and obey the laws. If you can't manage to do that, don't complain when you get a ticket.

Bike riders should have to register their bike and pay a road use tax like everyone else too. They should all have to have liability insurance as well.

I believe the video was in response to cyclists being cited for avoiding obstacles such as parked cars that happened to be in the bike lane by moving around the obstacle.

Ticket for moving around obstacles, or for staying outside the bike lane?
Video seems kinda silly, car lanes are full of obstacles too, does that mean motorist have the right to stay on the shoulder or in turn lanes in order to not have to deal with the occasional obstacle?

Just going by memory. Could be faulty.

Sometimes the police are a little overzealous on ticketing for these "infractions."

Sometimes riding in the bike lane isn't the best path. One of the streets striped a a bike boulevard in my city is really bumpy with poor quality pavement. Should I not cutover on the nearby smoother street to avoid the potholes? Same holds through with the sharrow.

Everyone needs to be a lot more patient on the roads.
